At Yandipay S.E.N.C., we respect your right to delete your account and personal data at any time. This page describes the account deletion procedure, the data involved and the applicable timelines.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from the YandiPay app by following these steps:
- 1Open the YandiPay app on your device
- 2Tap the menu (☰ icon at the top)
- 3Tap "Settings"
- 4Tap "Delete my account"
- 5Read the warning about the data that will be deleted
- 6Type "DELETE" to confirm your request
- 7Your account will be deleted immediately
Alternative Method
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to info@yandipay.ca from the email address associated with your account. Please include your registered phone number for verification. We will process your request within 30 days.
Data Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently erased:
- Your profile and personal information (name, phone number, email address, mailing address, profile picture)
- Your loyalty cards and points accumulated at all partner stores
- Your registered payment methods (bank cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay tokens)
- Your transaction history and digital receipts
- Your app preferences and notification settings
- Your device token for push notifications
Data Retained
In accordance with our legal obligations, certain data may be retained after your account is deleted:
- Transaction data is retained for 7 years in accordance with Canadian tax requirements (Income Tax Act)
- Data required in connection with a legal obligation, dispute or ongoing investigation
- Anonymized and aggregated data used for statistical purposes (which cannot be used to identify you)
Irreversible Action
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover your data, loyalty points or purchase history. If you wish to use YandiPay again, you will need to create a new account.
Deletion Timeline
When you delete your account through the app, the deletion is performed immediately. Data is erased from our servers within a maximum of 30 days. Automatic backups containing your data are purged within 90 days.
